This 10-session workshop series is designed to empower families by providing essential information, practical tools, and culturally relevant support to help elementary school students thrive. Each session is bilingual (English/Spanish), family-centered, and tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of marginalized Hispanic communities living in Los Angeles.

The series focuses on building trust between schools and families, reducing barriers to access, addressing systemic inequities, and helping parents feel confident navigating the school system. Sessions include hands-on activities, community resource connections, and opportunities for parents to share experiences and ask questions in a safe, welcoming environment. The workshops series are customizable to meet the needs of the school community.

1. Building Strong School Attendance

English: Learn why daily attendance matters and get simple tips to help your child arrive on time and ready to learn.

2. Positive Behavior at Home and School

English: Discover practical strategies to support positive behavior and understand how schools promote a safe, respectful environment.

3. Supporting Mental & Emotional Wellness

English: Explore signs of stress or anxiety in children and learn helpful tools to support their emotional well-being.

4. Helping Your Child Succeed Academically

English: Get simple reading and math strategies to boost your child’s learning and build strong homework routines.

5. Navigating Special Education & Student Supports
