This 10-session workshop series is designed to empower families by providing essential information, practical tools, and culturally relevant support to help elementary school students thrive. Each session is bilingual (English/Spanish), family-centered, and tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of our community.

The series focuses on building trust between schools and families, reducing barriers to access, addressing systemic inequities, and helping parents feel confident navigating the school system. Sessions include hands-on activities, community resource connections, and opportunities for parents to share experiences and ask questions in a safe, welcoming environment. The workshops series are customizable to meet the needs of the school community.

1. Building Strong School Attendance

Learn why daily attendance matters and get simple tips to help your child arrive on time and ready to learn.

This is a powerful 10-session series is designed specifically for parents and caregivers of high school students. Each session provides practical tools, guidance, and support to help you navigate your teen’s academic journey, social pressures, online safety, relationships, mental well-being, and preparation for college, careers, and adulthood. This series is culturally affirming, family-centered, and built around the unique strengths and experiences of our Hispanic community in Los Angeles. Connect with other families, strengthen communication at home, and gain confidence in supporting your teen every step of the way. Together, we build stronger families and stronger futures.
